A jazz player based in Traverse City, Michigan, Don recently acquired a Godin A8. He also uses three other mandolins: a 1922 Gibson F4 into a mic; a 1923 Gibson A snakehead with a Fishman pickup and a lavalier mic, and a 5-string Blue Star Mandoblaster.
