Jimmy Gaudreau
Gaudreau, a top-notch bluegrass mandolinist, has performed with
the Country Gentlemen, the Tony Rice Unit, and Chesapeake. Most
recently he's worked in a trio with Mike Auldridge and Richard
Bennett. Jimmy has experimented with a 5-string solidbody instrument,
but for several years now he's played and endorsed the
Rigel acoustic/electric
mandolin—he was the first important bluegrass artist to do so.
He frequently does play "plugged in," utilizing the built-in
electronics of the Rigel.
