Turns out that the late Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman was also a mandolin player. The cut "Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart" from his solo album Higher Truth is built around a demo track Cornell recorded with a mandolin, possibly the Tele-style acoustic/electric in the photo. (I would love to know who built that mandolin, if you have any insight.)
