Matt Shumac
A musician/recording engineer/luthier from Placerville, California, the late
Matt Shumac built this solidbody 8-string in 1958.
He used it, along with many other instruments, to record Western-themed
albums in his own studio. Heavily influenced by Les Paul, Matt multitracked all
		the instruments on his records.

Matt carved this entire mandolin from a single piece of wood. MOP inlays, ivory nut,
 aluminum
   bridge and tailpiece.
