        Sandy Sanderson

A New Zealander, Sandy built these mandolins from a local timber called
swamp kauri. According to Sandy, "The wood is very dense and gives
a wonderful resonant and rich tone, and amazing sustain. This is also
helped by the carbon fibre reinforcement in the neck (no truss
rod!)" Unfortunately, a motorcycle accident has forced Sandy to stop building. You can reach him by e-mail, or check out his Web site. |
