Rob Dick
The late Mr. Dick named his instrument-making venture Jupiter Creek Music, after
an old goldfield in the hills not far from his home in Cowandilla, South
Australia. All instruments by Jupiter Creek Music were handmade from
Australian timbers such as jarrah, Tasmanian blackwood, Tasmanian oak,
Australian ash, flooded gum, bunya pine, hoop pine and Queensland maple,
complemented by hardware, strings, frets and pickups from makers such as
Eagle, Gotoh, Darco, Jim Dunlop, WSC and Shadow. Check out the Jupiter
Creek Web site for more information. Or, if you're jonesing to build your own e-mando, Rob built a great step-by-step Web site detailing his first foray into luthiery. |
