These electric/acoustic specimens are made in Korea and distributed by the German-based Hohner company. They have composite backs and onboard electronics similar to those you'd find on an Ovation mandolin. If you have any doubts about the similarities between a Crafter and an Ovation, just get a load of the soundhole pattern on the instrument on the right.
