Benning Violins is a highly respected shop in Studio City, California, whose handbuilt instruments sell for many thousands of dollars. This instrument, however, is from Benning's student line and was built overseas by a provider like Eastman. That being said, it's a very nice student violin built of high-quality woods that is well set up and sounds great for the price. Spruce top; highly figured maple back and sides; ebony fittings. Fully acoustic (no pickup, although I can perhaps add a Fishman pickup for a small consideration). Bow and hardshell case included.
