Danie hails from the St. Louis area and fronts a heavy metal trio called Powers Court, in which she plays both electric guitar and mandolin. Her 8-string solidbody instrument appears to be a mid-'60s Carvin. She writes: "I bought it at a music store that had mostly dulcimers and those type of instruments; I got it used. ... My bassist and I repainted it." She does bow the mandolin sometimes when she plays live, for a wild Jimmy Page effect.
