Mr. Jackson hails from Eagan, Minnesota. Above: a 5-string electric, carved from a solid block of maple. Neck is flame maple; fretboard is Indian rosewood, with a 14-inch radius. Locking Sperzel tuners; bone nut; Bartolini pickup with a three-way micro-switch. Bridge by Kevin Schwab at Schwab Mandolins. Neck plate, jack and pickup ring are made from striped ebony. Scale is 14 3/8".
     Below: Mini-Les Paul body of alder with cedar cap. Tobacco sunburst, lacquer finish. Mortise & tenon neck joint. D-shape neck of 5-ply maple and rosewood. Padouk headstock laminate. 1.5-inch bone nut. Indian rosewood fretboard with abalone inlays, 22 frets, 14.5-inch scale. Solid brass bridge by Mr. Jackson himself. Chrome hardware, Gotoh 510 1:18 tuners. Bartolini C2 humbucker with 3-way switch: series/single/parallel.
