That's Heraldo on the left, with reggae star Jimmy Cliff. Heraldo hails from Brazil, and his instrument is, technically, a "Bahian guitar" built by Jorge Augusto. I'd be hard pressed, personally, to explain the difference between the Bahian guitar and the electric mandolin. If there is one.
